We spotted beauty soaps made fromnatural ingredients at Market Market recently. My friend was looking for a facial soap and cleanser and whitening soap in one ^_^
I was amazed at how many different kind of soaps there is for every need. Honestly, I have a very dry skin, prone to acne break outs as well, especially when PMS period sets in. I also have occasional problems with skin discoloration. Gees, I have all those face/skin problems. I tell you. Blessed are those who have perfect and clear skin. Wished I could have the money to make a trip down a popular beauty clinic and have some face/skin treatments.
Most girls do have vanities, including me, but, those vanity blues were shaded by fear because I get to see few women who in some point have that perfect white and pinkish face. But, later on, those same women I saw, their faces have become darker and worse, darker spots have occurred on their faces.
What could have happened?
Most girls have their own beauty regimen. I, for one, has to do these “MUST DO” everyday…
Wash face morning and evening. We’re keeping Cetaphil Facial Cleanser at home. It is non-comedogenic, thus, my eighteener and my thirteen year old lad used it, too.
Washing takes away skin’s moisture, thus, it’s a must that we apply moisturizers to get that supple look. There’s a lot of skin moisturizers available on the market. Do check on the label and make sure your skin can tolerate the chemicals (acids). As most products do contain harsh chemicals which can hurt or have a stinging effect when applied.
Moisturizers were not enough to keep our skin protected from UV rays. Thus, a sunscreen (a moisturizer with sunscreen is plain perfect) is needed when we need to go outdoors. Sunscreen can be applied under the make-up. Take note, there are moisturizer/sunscreen that are comedogenic, thus, blocking the pores which encouraged acne break-outs and blackheads.
Factors such as sun exposure, make-ups, use of beauty treatments/products. Those were few which contribute to our skin becoming too dry and sensitive. Thus, a routine expoliation is a must. I am a frugal beauty wannabe. I am keeping my hands off to expensive products. A high end anti aging or wrinkle removing cream can cost as high as $200! I don’t have the $$$ to spend on those beauty creams.
Here’s what I got from my mom. Actually, this home beauty tips were already much written or blogged about. Because I am doing these simple tips. I’d like to share it here.
Using KALAMANSI as a cleanser and whitener rolled into one
It helps to exfoliate dead skin also. Before taking a bath, I applied at least two kalamansi on my face, neck, even armpits ^_^. You can opt to leave it at that for 10 minutes until you can hold on to the burning sensation. It’s acid, thus, it can have an stinging effect on the skin. Afterwards, rinse it off and don’t forget to moisturize because the acid in the fruit can make the skin dry. I do this at least twice a week. Saving me from buying expensive facial masks. Talked about frugal beauty in here
Using TABLE SUGAR
Yes that plain sweetener. I have read a lot of blogs about this tip, too. But, mind you it’s on my regimen. I do not use brown sugar because the particles too big for me. Thus, I prefer white sugar because it is finer. I mixed up the sugar with a little facial cleanser then rub it gently onto my face and neck. That’s it. You’ll notice the suppleness of the skin after the simple and price-free treatment.
Note: moisturize after every treatment. Besides, I do this once a week only. Saving me trips to the salon for facials which only hurts my face because they’re pulling the blackheads and my pimples, which makes them swell more. Facial treatment can cost from P350 up.
LET ME SUMMARIZE
1. wash face regularly
2. moisturize
3. use sunscreen
4. exfoliate
